The midterm elections are less than two weeks away and PoliticsPA has identified seven State Senate races throughout the Commonwealth to focus on during the run-up to the 2026 election, as part of our 31 Races in 31 Days series.

| Enabling family-sustaining jobs, insisting that government works efficiently, and holding state agencies accountable Voice for fiscal responsibility, introducing a proposed constitutional amendment to rein in government spending and protect taxpayers. | Priorities | Raise baseline pay, cut utility expenses, and expand healthcare coverage Enact a state moratorium on data centers Provide a state tax break to our first responders and frontline workers, rather than subsidizing big corporations that bring temporary jobs. |
| Affordability is a major concern in my district, from housing and energy to health care and child care. High utility costs are squeezing families and small businesses, therefore I support responsible energy development that adds supply to the grid without raising rates. Housing and rents are increasingly out of reach, especially for young people. I’m working to curb private equity purchases and help communities create land banks. Skyrocketing health care, insurance, and childcare costs are straining families, so I authored the laws creating Pennsylvania’s employer childcare tax credit and a childcare workforce recruitment and retention program. | Biggest Local Issue | The biggest local issue in the 46th district is the skyrocketing cost of living. Prices are rising for almost everything, including healthcare, groceries, and gas. Even our water and utility costs are growing because unchecked hyperscale data center development is consuming our resources. To address this, I would support increasing the minimum wage in Harrisburg; providing subsidies to seniors, veterans and low-income residents for utility costs, and placing a moratorium on data center development to prevent further rate hikes. |
